The Anchor opens the transmission similarly to previous episodes by asking whether TERI has found any codes during its “processing time.” TERI suggests trying the codes “EARTH” and “REALM” for the five letter lock. The first attempt (EARTH) works. Inside the bag, the Anchor finds a folder that holds another tile. The tile displays a figure in a blue lab coat who is looking at a wall covered in tiles. The Anchor suspects this is an image of him, though does not know its genesis.
The Anchor mentions to TERI that the effects of climate change have been devastating and that he does not understand why he would lock himself in this room. He then finds a phone in the folder but notes that its battery is dead. He puts the phone to the side and puts up the new tile, causing the room to flash white.
Next, the Anchor checks the ice cubes and finds them melted, making available their four sets of seeds. He tastes them and relays information about each ice cube’s ingredients to TERI: dill and lingonberry, lemongrass and farkleberry, chervil and blackberry, and catnip and elderberry. Before the transmission ends the Anchor wonders whether these seeds might be important for the recipe puzzle and begs TERI for help.
The players discover that the number amount next to each ingredient is the letter in the corresponding ingredient they need to use. They find the phrase “HERB COUNT INTO BERRIES.” They take the number amount next to each herb in the recipe and count that many letters into the corresponding berry from the ice, getting the letters CDLI or DCLI depending on alphabetical or given order, which they realize are Roman numerals for the numbers 451 or 651.
