In this final transmission, there is no game show soundtrack, though some of the audience response tracks still play. TERI, the game show host, is also eerily absent. The broadcast opens with the contestants calling for TERI, then noticing the players communicating via chat on the screen. They proceed to ask for help to open the door and access the SPORE device. Players attempt a variety of commands and questions, without any effect, causing the contestants to become frustrated.

The contestants reveal that TERI is broken because there was no choice, and that this has negatively impacted the mechanism by which they can leave the room. The abstention by the participants from 2019 the night before has caused this. But there is still hope. The contestants implore the participants to take action and step forward. The way to do this is to participate in the Futures Design Challenge that will take place at the University of Chicago on September 27, 2019 and to change the events that lead to the future by acting in 2019.

The contestants are then notified that someone has been dispatched to open the door, but that negative consequences are likely to be associated with this protocol. The contestants ask for clarification, becoming more and more irritated. Contestant 11 finds the consolation prizes the Terrarium and the Go game pieces, which they proceed to scatter across the floor in frustration.

The broadcast closes with the contestants agreeing, together, that they are willing to take the risk to open the door, with the viewers’ encouragement, even if they do not know what will come. An ominous knock echoes through the bunker before the room flashes white and the contestants disappear, leaving nothing behind but empty space. The participants from 2019 must wait for September 27, 2019 to learn more.
