The transmission opens with the four remaining contestant-Anchors lined up against the back wall of the bunker, holding up their numbers: 7, 11, 4, and 9. The words TRUE and FALSE appear at the top corners of the screen. The “host with the most in the entire cosmos,” TERI, introduces the new game. There will be a warm up round and an elimination round. They then explain the rules for round one”The Word Challenge.” Each contestant has been given a word related to the end of our world that viewers must guess or discover. Viewers must prompt the contestants with “constraints” to obtain information about the words in question. An example of a constraint is, “the word begins with a vowel.” The contestants move to the left or to the right (true or false) in response to these constraints. Despite their best efforts, viewers fail to come up with the answers: Pestilence, Death, Famine, and War — a.k.a. the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
The second round is the elimination round: each contestant has 50 seconds to respond to a prompt of the viewers’ selection. They choose “Prompt 3: Describe the moment in your life when you began training to be the Anchor.” The contestants respond in turn. Viewers then vote on one contestant to eliminate: 4. Contestant 4 steps forward and receives their consolation prize: the old iPhone.
